Professional Triathlete
Patrick Lange is a German Ironman World Champion whose devastating marathon prowess has earned him three world titles and multiple course records. He made history in 2018 by becoming the first athlete to break 8 hours at Kona, running a 2:39 marathon off the bike to seal a legendary victory.
Lange's weapon is his run — arguably the greatest marathon leg in Ironman history. While other athletes may swim faster or bike harder, few can match Lange's ability to unleash a sub-2:40 marathon after 112 miles of cycling in the Hawaiian heat. His 2024 World Championship victory in Nice proved that even in his late thirties, Lange remains one of the most dangerous men in long-distance triathlon.
