About This Event

Description

Maha Tapas India is a fourteen-day spiritual retreat in the Vedantic and Hindu traditions, held at the Ekam Svasti Campus in Varadaiahpalem, India. It is led by Sri Preethaji and Sri Krishnaji, and it is meant for Tapasvis residing in India who have already completed all four dimensions of Tapas. It is an advanced consciousness retreat, a deeper immersion for those who have walked the earlier path and want to go further.

What to Expect

Maha Tapas is described as the next frontier after Tapas, the practice that first lit the inner fire and brought a steady, witnessing calm. Here, participants are guided by the Mukti gurus toward states of consciousness once known only to the great sages: states the organizers say no words have quite held.

The retreat explores four great states:

- Maha Shunya, the great emptiness
- Maha Poorna, the great wholeness
- Maha Ekatva, the great oneness
- Maha Karuna, the great compassion

The aim is to emerge as an Anukampana Jeevan Mukta, a compassionate, enlightened being. This is not a path of renunciation. The vision is of a Mahatapasvi who lives fully in the world, working, building, creating and loving, while remaining untouched by praise or humiliation, success or failure. Consciousness opens into vast states while the hands stay busy among family and community.

The organizers speak plainly about what this looks like at home. Work and difficult people remain, but the heaviness beneath them lifts. Time with loved ones becomes more present and unhurried. The old fear of losing health, wealth, reputation or the people you love begins to loosen, as the sense of separation from life softens. The intention is not a better version of the old life but a freer way of being alive within it, and a compassion that reaches the people around you.

About Sri Preethaji and Sri Krishnaji

Sri Preethaji and Sri Krishnaji lead the fourteen-day immersion, together with the Mukti gurus who hold the vision of the retreat and guide participants into its states.

The Setting

The retreat takes place at the Ekam Svasti Campus in Varadaiahpalem, India, where participants stay for the full two weeks. Once an application is approved, accommodation and payment details are shared through a separate page.

Before You Go

This is an advanced program. It is open only to practitioners residing in India who have completed all four dimensions of Tapas training, and who bring established meditation and consciousness-work experience.

Attendance is by application. Approved applicants are then sent the accommodation and payment page.

Common Questions

FAQs

The organizer describes Tapas as the stage where the inner fire is lit and one learns to witness life from steady calm, the state of the Sthitha Prajna. Maha Tapas is presented as the next frontier, where that fire is carried further toward dissolving the small self into the divine and a vast field of consciousness.
The organizer names Maha Shunya (the great emptiness), Maha Poorna (the great wholeness), Maha Ekatva (the great oneness) and Maha Karuna (the great compassion). Participants are said to be led into these by the Mukti gurus.
The program is led by the Mukti gurus, who are described as guiding participants into states once known only to the great sages. The page does not list individual names or a day-by-day schedule, so check the application page for details.
The page frames Maha Tapas as a continuation of the journey that began with Tapas, and speaks to people who already carry that inner fire. It does not state a formal prerequisite, so confirm your eligibility when you apply.
